About Me

Hi and welcome to my website!

My name is Krishnan and this site is an effort to share my views of this world with all of you.

Photography is a passionate hobby for me and quite unrelated in a sense to my regular occupation in wireless technologies. I am passionate about both technology and photography and, not in any particular order!

I picked up my first camera a Minolta 35mm Rangefinder the Minolta Hi-Matic 7s ,  when I was about ten years old. It was my father’s camera and he used to allow me to take some pictures with it infrequently. About the same time I had a school text book called the “Radiant Reader” and it had a short story on Ernest Hass the photographer. I distinctly remember the story where he , crumples a sheet of paper, and throws it on the floor where the light is streaming in from the window. He then goes on to explain, when seen through a black frame, how this piece of paper bathed in the golden light from the window, transforms into art. This simple story opened my eyes to the myriad patterns in nature and, sparked more than a casual interest in me for photography. I must mention here that my parents, particularly my father’s contribution, in encouraging me in pursuing my heart. Mum n Dad ..you are the best 🙂 .  My spouse is  the one who constantly encourages me and,  is also my best critic. I wouldn’t be able to do most of my photo trips if it wasn’t for her.

I took up photography as a subject in school and learnt the basics using an old Agfa Click III , 120 Format camera and B/W films. Hanging out in the darkroom was always fun. One of the first golden light pictures I took was of my friend Shoummo’s dog “Jimbo” on a sunday morning at the local park ( Buddha Garden) with my Dad’s Minolta 7s, 35mm rangefinder. The images turned out really well. It was always so mesmerising to watch the image magically appear in the dark room and…, I was well and truly hooked to photography.
