My standard wildlife set used to be
600mm F4 (5.06 kg) , 300mm F2.8 (2.9Kg) , 70-200mm F2.8 (1.4 Kg) , which is a total of 9.36 Kg .
The new PF lenses by Nikon help reduce this to almost half !
500mm F5.6 PF (1.4 kg) , 300mm F4 PF (0.75Kg) , 70-200mm F4 ED VR (0.85Kg) , which is a total of just 3 Kg ! This set makes things very hand holdable for long periods of time, especially the long end.
Also, the 200-500mm F5.6 alone, is some 2.3 Kgs!
